.

Hiya,
No problem, just post when you can.

Thanks

Okay. The number is WTE6920GB /01 FD 8009

Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
Thanks for that.
.
The most common cause of this problem is a tripped thermostat.
It can be a heater, wiring and/or control board fault, but the thermostat is the most common.
.
Unplug the appliance.
Take the bulged panel off the rear of the machine (held by Torx screws).
Look for a thermostat with a button in the middle of it.
Firmly press the button to reset the thermostat.
.
Ensure the condenser and the chamber it fits into is totally clear and clean.
.
Try the dryer again.
.
While in the rear of the machine, check the heater to see if it's failed.
The numbers you posted indicate the machine is 13 years old so the heater may have gone.
.
Check it out, see what you find and get back to me if you need more help.
.
Hope this helps
Thanks

Well, I firmly pressed the reset botton to no avail. How do I check the heater to see if its failed?

Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
You would need to use a multimeter to test the element, if you can't see it's broken physically.

thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

How is this multimeter test best carried out?

Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
You disconnect the heater and test across the elements for continuity.
If you get continuity, the heater is ok.

Thanks
