Thanks for the reply. It has been defrosted for a few weeks now and set to not cool but not actually turned off at the mains. Do I still need to do as you suggested or is there something else that is likely be the fault like a thermostat? Thx. Steve

Hi Steve, thats exactly what i am trying to determine:-)
But thats why I suggested what I did.
I would really turn off at the ,main, or unplug if you have a plug connection?
