Customer Question

neff oven B14M42.3GB A SCREW HAS COME OUT FROM THE TOP OF THE OVEN AND THE TOP OF THE OVEN HAS DROPPED A LITTLE

Hiya,
The screw will be a Torx screw and you need Torx drivers for that.
.
When you say the top of the oven has dropped, is it the actual oven, a cover or an element that has dropped?

Where exactly is the screw fitted? on the front or inside the oven up into the roof of it?
.
How old is the appliance?
.
Thanks

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It is a cover that has dropped

The screw is fitted inside the oven into the top

The appliance is under a year old

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.
.
You'll need a Torx driver to fit the screw back in.
If you don't have one at the moment, try a terminal screwdriver (thin flat blade).
It may be small enough to fit across the screw.
If you don't have that either, you can get a Torx driver and/or bits from the likes of Halfords, B&Q, DIY shops and even Pound shops.
.
I wouldn't advise going further than fitting the screw.
If there are further problems, you could invalidate your warranty if you start taking it apart.
.
Check it out, see what you find and get back to me if you need more help.
.
If you can't get the screw to go back in, you will need to Call Neff and get them out to sort it out under warranty.
You have a least 2 years warranty (if you have proof of purchase).
.
Hope this helps
Thanks
