SparePartspro :

Thank You for using JustAnswer - My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am more than happy to help with your question today.

Can you post back a model number and I will try and resolve your issue for you.

JACUSTOMER-yxz79pou- :

Sorry - I don't know the model number. I have looked at the Neff website and the oven it is closest to is U14M42N3GB. This looks like a much newer version - my oven is 10 years old. The look is the same - the controls at the top vary slightly - my digital clock is on the left. The dial to operate the bottom oven is on the left and the dials for the top oven are on the right.

JACUSTOMER-yxz79pou- :

Just found the model number inside the oven - U142(think this either a 2 or a Z)1NZGB/01.

SparePartspro :

OK thank for that.
Inside the top of the oven there should be a thermal cut out device.
You will need to check this component for continuity using a multimeter.
To access the part you will have to remove the oven from the carcass and then take off the top cover of the oven.
Let me know if this is something you can do.

JACUSTOMER-yxz79pou- :

No - this is not something I would be able to do. Sounds like I will have to call out an engineer.
