KevinWhiteJA :

Hi

KevinWhiteJA :

have you tried to remove the battery AND the power cable and while it is unplugged push the power button several times...after all this is done plug everything back in and let me know if this works

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

I have already tried all of this and it still only flashes 4 times and nothing else.

KevinWhiteJA :

ok and how old is it ?

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

Approx. 12 months but has not been used very much due to ill health until Friday.

KevinWhiteJA :

ok...what about the power adapter ? are you sure it is fine

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

All updates have been down loaded and during that time the laptop must have switched off after downloads.~

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

The battery was fully chat

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

charged on Friday evening before down loading windows updates.

KevinWhiteJA :

ok the error indicates that the Laptop is unable to charge...have you tried to disconnect the CMOS battery and then check? another thing it is just 12 months old so I believe it is better to get it done under warranty

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

IT IS JUST OUT OF WARRANTY

KevinWhiteJA :

oh ok

KevinWhiteJA :

The issue is with the battery, you can try to disconnect CMOS battery for few minutes, this might solve the problem, if it does not then the main battery should be replaced

KevinWhiteJA :

are we still online ?

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

I have a new battery installed which has more power (longer life) and that is new.

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

I have tested the battery with a meter and it is OK.

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

The charger out put is also metered |OK.

KevinWhiteJA :

what about the CMOS battery...have you tried to disconnect it and then connect it back ?

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

Yes - several times before I contacted you

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

and since

KevinWhiteJA :

ok

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

Thanks for your responses.

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :

How do I get my money refunded?

JACUSTOMER-7q5dbgrx- :
