Hiya,
Can you post the model number of the appliance please?

Does anything at all on the hood work?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Model No AKG 768GY

NO

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
Thanks for that.

I take it you have changed the fuse ?
Is the hood wired up to a plug and socket?
If it is, did you change the fuse in the plug?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

The hood must be wired direct

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
It shouldn't be.
It has to be on a fused outlet.
Either a plug and socket or a fused switch

Have you checked on top of the units or in adjacent units?

Thanks
Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Please don't open a new question to reply, it just confuses everyone.

You need to check on top of your units and in adjacent ones.

Do you have, and can you use, a multimeter?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Not pleased with your reply

I don't have a multimeter

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Sorry, I don't understand why you aren't pleased with my reply.
What is upsetting you?
I'm asking you to check things, so I don't see what could be upsetting you.

At the moment, all I know about the fault is there's no power to the appliance and I'm trying to find out why
Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
OK, you are opening new questions instead of communicating.

I'll opt out of the question and open it to all again.
Perhaps you'll communicate with someone else
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 3 years ago.
If you just reply to this question then everything will go fine.

The previous expert was right, your unit will not be wired direct if it was fitted correctly.
It will be supplied by either a plug on the end of the wire or via a fused spur.
Most fitters try and hide them in the canopy above.

Can you try there first and see if you can locate it?
