Hi. I have a Gigaset AL 185. The Remote handset no longer works

Hi. I have a Gigaset AL 185. The Remote handset no longer works with the base station. It asks for a PIN but I do not know what that is. I want to get the remote to work with the base station again - please can you advise how I go about this? Many Thanks!

Turn the handset off by pressing and holding the PWR key.
While holding down the keys 1, 4, and 7, turn the handset back on.
It will display "Handset Service".
While this message is displayed, type in the numbers 4 6 8 5 4 6 3 (the word "hotline") on the number pad.
The phrase "Settings Reset to Default" for a second or two and the handset will power itself off.
Note: When you turn the handset back on, the handset PIN will be reset to 0000.
