KevinWhiteJA :

Hi, welcome to Just answer

KevinWhiteJA :

How old is it ?

JACUSTOMER-o6wcqasi- :

five and half years

KevinWhiteJA :

OK

KevinWhiteJA :

does it make any clicking sound ?

JACUSTOMER-o6wcqasi- :

no it starts and then stops

JACUSTOMER-o6wcqasi- :

the oven is working ok

KevinWhiteJA :

ok

KevinWhiteJA :

if the door is closing properly then the problem can be either with the high voltage diode or the HV transformer that is bad and needs replacement

JACUSTOMER-o6wcqasi- :

row do we go about that

KevinWhiteJA :

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the high voltage transformer might have an intermittent short. You will have to check the thermostat as well however, as these units have high voltage running even when turned off so it is not recommended that it should be DIY repair...as you will have to discharge the capacitor before performing any repair

JACUSTOMER-o6wcqasi- :

ok I am disabled what can we do

KevinWhiteJA :

As this is out of warranty it will be better to contact either the manufacturer at 0844 892 8999 or you can contact a local engineer at 0843 770 3995

JACUSTOMER-o6wcqasi- :

do you think that this could be fixed to day

KevinWhiteJA :

You can check with them...the second contact number is for http://www.repaircare.co.uk/ they might be able to fix it today

KevinWhiteJA :

You can get back to me if you need any assistance and I will help with no additional charges.....Is there anything else I can assist you with today ?

KevinWhiteJA :

are we still connected ?
