Customer Question

The blue strips on the drum keep coming away. I have had two repairmen out to
correct this, neither have been successful and two garments have already been ruined.
I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Hiya,
Are you referring to the drum paddles?
The ones that run front to back inside the drum?

If you are, are you washing heavy items or trainers/shoes?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes I am referring to the drum paddles, and no I am not washing any

heavy items. It usually happens when I use the boil wash.

Hiya,
The boil wash shouldn't affect them.

They do break off regularly but in the main, it's normally due to a heavy bath mat, trainers or similar heavy things.

Has the machine done this from new?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No not from new but regularly over the last eighteen months. I just want to know how to stop it ruining any more clothes.

Hiya,
You can't stop it.
If the paddle breaks, it comes off and exposes the sharp metal of the inner drum.

All you can do is check the paddles aren't loose before each wash.
If they are loose, they're breaking.

When fitted properly, they are solid and tight.
Just prior to breaking, they are very loose.

If they are only lasting a week or two and there's definitely no overloading or heavy items, I'd suspect a fault with the inner drum.

How often are they being replaced?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It is fairly obvious that you cannot actually solve my problem, so I will just thank you for your time and feel I have wasted £22.

Hiya,
The problem with your machine is likely to be the inner drum, if the paddles are being replaced every couple of weeks.

If not, the problem has to lie with the load in the machine.

Sorry, there's no way to tell remotely which of these is the actual cause.

Your money is still yours, you haven't paid me anything.
Check your account, it's still there.
