i have a sharp lc19le510k. After switching it off at the mains

i have a sharp lc19le510k. After switching it off at the mains it will now not switch on by remote or the power switch on the tv.

I have changed the fuse in the plug
The remote appears to be working OK

OOPs - no their was a lamp plugged in the other socket

Have you tried to disconnect and reconnect the power cable going to the unit ?

This is not possible

I am talking about main powers cable...If the cable appears fine then the problem seems to be with the power board of the unit ...you will have to open the back off the unit and check the main board...how good are your DIY skills ?

I am not happy about taking the back off the TV.

OK, usually these units come with a 2 to 5 years of parts warranty...you can check with the manufacturer if you do not want to do it yourself...however, at times unplugging the power cable and plugging it back helps...you can also replace the cable if you want

The unit is just 15 months old...that is the reason I keep on saying it might be the power cable causing the issue

if it is fine then it is the main board that has to be checked

Why give a Poor Service rating when you are not even willing to follow my advice ?

The unit does not have a "magic button" that you can press to get it working again
