I have a Bosch WTE84102GB/03 Tumble Dryer The problem:- Regardless

Resolved Question:

I have a Bosch WTE84102GB/03 Tumble Dryer
The problem:- Regardless of programme setting The machine runs for approx 1minute then stops (Stop/start light remain continuously lit) After a few seconds the machine restarts and runs again for another minute, stops and restarts as previously. After a further minute the machine sops and all lights go out. Approx. 30 seconds later the stop/start comes on again but flashing. The machine now has to be restarted by pressing stop/start button after which the same sequence is repeated. I have checked thermostats which are Ok so suspect PCB. Any clues

KevinWhiteJA :

Hi, welcome to Just answer

KevinWhiteJA :

How old is this dryer ?

KevinWhiteJA :

have you checked the thermostats with a multimeter ?

Customer:

Yes and replaced the small black thermostat at the rear of machine under cowling

KevinWhiteJA :

OK can you check the wires going to the control board ?

Customer:

I can but not at present

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, when you check it just make sure all the connections are fine and no loose wiring to the control ...also there is a thermal limiter that should be checked...if that is also fine then it is the control that will need replacement

Customer:

there are two thermal limiters under the cowling at the rear under the cowling, one with a reset button. I have replaced the other and tested the resettable one as OK. Where is the third?

KevinWhiteJA :

Yes that is right there are two, if both are fine then it is the control

Customer:

Thank you I didn't want to hear that, as a control is circa £200.

KevinWhiteJA :

Yes I understand...sorry about the bad news

Customer:

Tks for help.
