Hi I have a Bosch classixx condenser dryer (WTL6003GB/17).

Resolved Question:

Hi I have a Bosch classixx condenser dryer (WTL6003GB/17). It operates but has stopped producing heat. When this happened in the past, pressing the red rubber button at the rear of the drum seemed to solve the problem. However, this fix is no longer working. Any ideas how I fix this please? Thanks

KevinWhiteJA :

Hi, welcome to Just answer

KevinWhiteJA :

How old is it ?

Customer: Sorry, I don't know the previous owners of our house left it behind. It has worked fine for 4 years.
KevinWhiteJA :

OK, the problem seems to be with the thermostat that is bad and needs replacement

KevinWhiteJA :

if you want you can test it with a multimeter before replacing

KevinWhiteJA :

if it has no continuity it should be replaced

KevinWhiteJA :

if it tests fine then you will have to check the heater assembly

KevinWhiteJA :

the thermostat is located inside the rear of the unit near the heater assembly

Customer: Thanks what does the thermostat look like, and is it easy to replace? If it's the heater assembly, can that be repaired or is it the sort of component that has to be replaced as a complete unit?
KevinWhiteJA :

Check this Image

KevinWhiteJA :

this is the thermostat

KevinWhiteJA :

a new one will cost you around £55

KevinWhiteJA :

and please check this Image

KevinWhiteJA :

this is the heater assembly

KevinWhiteJA :

a new heater assembly will cost you around £85

KevinWhiteJA :

replacing the heater assembly is always recommended instead of replacing just the thermostats

KevinWhiteJA :

I mean that helps in long run

KevinWhiteJA :

If you want to replace it yourself please check this Video ...it will help you in replacing the heater assembly
