Hi, I have a zanussi DI 50 TCR dishwasher that I put a wash

Customer Question

Hi, I have a zanussi DI 50 TCR dishwasher that I put a wash through with bleach. Lots of bubbles came out the bottom of the door but it kept running and as far as I can remember the cycle finished. It wouldn't work again and I have left it a few weeks now to see if it will reset itself but no joy.

I have taken all the mesh filters out in the bottom and cleaned and put back in, taken out all the water in the bottom as mic has I can, reset it using buttons on the control pad. The light is on for power, there does not seem water in the controls as have unscrewed to see if I could see. I cannot pull out the unit or get to the outgoing pipes.

It as working fine up to this point, hVe I knackered it?

Regards
Anne Willis

Hiya,
When you start a new program, does the machine do anything at all?

thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
No
Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

Are you able to select a new program?
Do the lights work as they should?

Bleach will have overfoamed and may have shorted out components in the bottom.

Thanks

Yes I can select all programmes, just no little click that it normally does when you select and shut the door to start programme . All lights come on as they should

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

I would suggest checking the door lock first.
Make sure the microswitch is being activated.

How are your diy skills?
Do you have, and can you use, a multimeter?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I am afraid electrics are beyond me and no I don't have a multimeter.

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

In that case, check the door switch, if you can.
You won't be able to confirm it's working though.

The fault could be the door lock/microswitch.
However, it could be worse and your control board has blown.

If you can't check it, do you need to find a repairer?

Thanks
