You can enter the installer menu by holding < and + for five seconds. Scroll through the selections and see if the lock is on or off. You can change the selections that may allow it work. Also change the battery. That may be the issue also. If the posts for the battery seem corroded you may want to lightly sand the posts first before installing a fresh battery.
As mentioned the unit is not responding. I will try the 5 sec thing again but I'm pretty sure that did not work last time. Also, as mentioned this is a wired unit attached to the mains, so no battery.

there is not! There are two models of the +3. One uses a bat, the other uses the mains. This one has a build in watch bat which is a back up and cannot be replaced.
I see. They now have them with a replaceable battery. The one that is in that cannot be easily replaced. It may be the issue is the internal battery but it has to be soldered in. The quickest solution would be to replace the thermostat itself. The issue is certainly the thermostat and replacing it will fix the issue. Almost certainly the issue is the battery and replacing the battery itself should also fix the issue. Of course that is a matter of ordering a new battery and then soldering it in. Also if you contact Drayton they may replace it for free. No guarantee they will send you a replacement but there is a very good chance they will. yea they suggested buying a new t-stat, which i did earlier, as it seems to be a softwear issue. I am going to simply attach the front pannel of the new one to the back wall piece of the old one (which is already connected to the mains), and hope for the best. Even though I had to repeat myself which wasted time, I am in a good mood and need some good karma, so I will release the credit as you took the time to help.
