LG washing machine model no. WM1285FHD bought in February 2004

Resolved Question:

LG washing machine model no. WM1285FHD bought in February 2004 switched off itself off
10 - 15 mins into short program. Have changed fuse in hardwired plug but it still will not
switch back on. Have also manually drained the machine and cleaned filter. Can this machine be repaired?

Customer:

Bleeped once and when I went to machine it had switched off.

ok, can you unplug it and plug it back after two minutes...and let me know if it will flash any error code

Customer:

Can't unplug as it is hardwired, but have had the switch on off position and switched it back on to no effect.

OK, does the lights on the control turn on ?

Customer:

nothing works, no lights come on.

KevinWhiteJA :

as it is completely dead the problem seems to be with the the electronic control module of the unit that is bad and will need replacement

a new one will cost you around £55

Is it worth being repaired and if so, who could do it?
