Hiya,
Don't invert it, that just allows oil from the compressor to get into the system.

Unplug the appliance

Inside the freezer, take the rear panels off.
Is there ice, snow or frosting on the pipes?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

there is no ice, snow or frosting on pipes. also the "Freezer High Temperature" light is on permantly

Hiya,
The high temperature light will be on because the machine isn't cooling.

At the bottom rear of the machine is the compressor, a black pot shaped item.

Is it running?
If it is, is it very hot?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

yes, is running and it is hot, can touch it comfortly

Hiya,
OK, it's not overheating so it's not a blockage.

Sorry, not good news but you either have a refrigerant leak or a weak compressor.

The pipework should be evenly coated in frost, you have no frost so it's not pumping refrigerant around.

Unplug the appliance.
Leave it off overnight.
Plug it back in and see if it starts working. (doubtful as you don't have the symptoms of a restriction)

Let me know what happens.
Thanks
