Welcome, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be helping you with your problem today. If anything isn't clear, please just ask me.

Just so I have it right, are you saying that the oven is heating up, even whne the control knob is set to off?

Are you wanting to try and fix this yourself, or would you prefer an all inclusive quote for the repair? If so, please let me have your postcode

Thanks
Rob

Yes that is correct the oven heats up even when the control knob is set to off. so we have to isolate the whole range.

Hi Neil

Thanks
Its strange, but this will be the control switch itself at fault.

I have tried to locate the spare part for you but that model number isnt right. Can you recheck it please? or would you prefer an all inclusive quote for the repair? If so, please let me have your postcode

Thanks

Model No: XXXXXXXXX S/No: 10357670

All information taken from the date plate from inside the oven door.

Hi Neil
The model number has been crossed out. The system thinks its a phone number !!
Can you repost it and put the letter A directly in front, so it ooks like

A123456

Thanks

Hi Neil

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX

You will need to check which switch is faulty as there are two shown

You will almost certainly see damage to the contacts where it has burnt.

See here, just click on the word in blue
and this

There is a video on the first link that may help you. This is not your oven but gives you the idea.

If you need more help, please just ask

In the meantime,

Can I ask you to take a moment and rate my response? Please use the smiley faces which you should now see. Please remember you are rating me personally, not the website or the problems you have had with this machine.
If you need to ask me anything after rating, please just follow the link in the welcome email
