Customer:

the model number XXXXXXXXX is and it is about 6 years old.

KevinWhiteJA :

sorry can you please tell the model number again...it comes here as XXXXXXXXX

Customer: (NNN) NNN-NNNN/p>
Customer: NNN-NN-NNNNsorry
KevinWhiteJA :

OK

KevinWhiteJA :

does any of the lights flash ?

Customer:

no the timer comes on 59 mins for selected wash cycleand

Customer:

and then counts down 4 minutes and then goes straight to 3minutes and commences to empty

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, and then does it empty or water remains in there ?

Customer:

the water emptys but im not sure how much water has gone in as it really never washed

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, have you tried to clean the drain pump filter assembly ?

Customer:

no

KevinWhiteJA :

Can you please unplug the unit and try it ?

KevinWhiteJA :

it is located inside the bottom front of the unit

Customer:

ok gone to do it

KevinWhiteJA :

ok, let me know how it goes

Customer:

the filter was not that dirty there was very little in the filter.

KevinWhiteJA :

OK..and the problem is still there..is that right ?

Customer:

yes

KevinWhiteJA :

Ok, please pull the unit out and then take the top and front off the unit to clean the drain pump assembly

KevinWhiteJA :

also check and make sure nothing is clogged in the drain hose

Customer:

ok

KevinWhiteJA :

Check this Video

KevinWhiteJA :

this will give you an idea on how to clean it

Customer:

there seems to be no blockage in the waste pipe or in drain pipe.

Customer:

a small amount of water goes in the drum revolves a couple of times then when the main gush of water begins to come in the timer goes to three minutes and begins to empty.

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, Lets check if we can get any error code out of the unit...To do this turn the dial to any setting and let it light up...After this is done press and hold the start button and the button to the left. Keep them held in for several seconds then the led's will go out. Now the start light and the end light will be flashing. Please count the total number of flashes from each the start light and the end light between the pause and let me know.

Customer:

ok

Customer:

there is no button to left of start button. bar code on back of machine is 1321719219145130040150200075 ifthis is of any help.

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, can you unplug the unit and plug it back after two minutes...simultaneously press and hold the START button for 15 seconds

Customer:

ok

Customer:

nothing different

KevinWhiteJA :

Ok, do you hear any different sound from the washer

Customer:

not realy

KevinWhiteJA :

ok

KevinWhiteJA :

I believe the problem is either with the drain pump assembly or the motor brushes itself that is bad and will need replacement

KevinWhiteJA :

if you want to check this yourself then you will have to remove the lid from top and then the front panel of the unit

KevinWhiteJA :

after this closely check the drain pump assembly

KevinWhiteJA :

if everything is clean in there then you will have check the motor

Customer:

how do i check the motor brushes

KevinWhiteJA :

just by looking at them you will know if they are fine or not

KevinWhiteJA :

they should not have lot of carbon

Customer:

could the problem be something electrical as it fills spins emptys but does not wash

KevinWhiteJA :

It fills and spins so the door interlock seems to be fine

KevinWhiteJA :

and so does the timer control

KevinWhiteJA :

that is the reason I believe the problem can be with the pump or the motor

KevinWhiteJA :

if a new motor is required then it is better to buy a new washer

KevinWhiteJA :

as a new motor will cost you around £210

KevinWhiteJA :

sorry about the bad news but hope you understand

Customer:

ok thanks for help
