I purchased a zanussi 6140l washing machine a few weeks ago, but I have read the instructions, but cannot get the gyst of it please help, the programme never stops, what am I doing wrong please?.

I have never had a completed programme because it never stops. so i have to manualy put it on rinse and manualy on spin.

Yes it does. Iam doing somehtig wrong but cant work it out. Ihad my last machine which was a zanussi fo 30 years untill it died.

Press and hold together the start button and the button to the left of it.
A code should be shown.

OK, that's extremely strange as it should have shown E00 if there's no fault.

Sorry, it looks like you have a faulty control board on your machine.

There's no other reason why pressing and holding the 2 buttons together wouldn't show a code.

I had hoped to find out the cause of the actual fault you are having, but, if the board is faulty, this too could be the cause.

Try the 2 buttons again.

There is no led screen on the appliance to show this code. I will have to go back to where I bought it and see what they can do for me.Thank you for your help.

OK, thanks for that, the service manual shows a display, if you don't have one, when you press the buttons, you should get flashing lights.

However, you have a faulty machine, it's under warranty.
If the retailer won't sort it, the manufacturer will.
