Hiya,
Induction hobs are really expensive to repair as it's normally a case of replacing a very expensive control board to sort the problem out.

You will likely need to replace the electronics on the affected side.

With this in mind, you really would be better off with a fixed price repair that includes parts and labour.

British Gas and Knowhow (Currys) both offer this in certain areas.
You would need to check with them if they do in your area.

British Gas charge £125 and there's no charge if it can't be repaired.
Knowhow charge differing prices so you need to search for their repair offer and check the price and conditions.

There's a 1 year warranty on British Gas repairs too.

The charge from either company would very likely be less than you would pay for the part alone.
If you add the cost of an independent repairer, you'll save a lot of money.

Check them out, see what you think and get back to me if you need more help.

Hope this helps
Thanks
