hi there, I have a hotpoint ctd80 condenser dryer, every thing

hi there, I have a hotpoint ctd80 condenser dryer, every thing works ok accept the digital display and power on/off light keeps flickering when you press start and the drum starts turning, when you press stop the flickering stops, I have already changed the control circuit board behind the buttons
and that didn't work.....HELP!

Hiya,
There's another board on your machine that powers the display/control board.

Unplug the appliance.
Take the top and right side panel off.
You should see the main board near the bottom of the machine.

Trace the wiring from the facia board to the main board.
Unplug it and plug it back in several times to see if it sorts it out.

If still the same, sorry, but you'll need a new main board fitted and then have it programmed to the machine.
It requires special tools to program the board.

If it's the main board at fault, check www.emwelec.co.uk
They repair boards and also sell refurbished ones.
These are already programmed for the appliance.

New boards are always blank.
