My miele washing machine is saying "Technical fault" and beeping

Customer Question

My miele washing machine is saying "Technical fault" and beeping a lot. It started because I poured too much water into the soap drawer. I had almost run out of washing machine soap, so I poured water into the bottler, shook it to get all the remaining soap from the bottle, and then poured the water into the soap drawer. I did that twice. Ever since then the washing machine has been showing this error. If I set the washing machine on "spin", it doesn't even try to rotate the drum before showing the error message.

Hi Jen

Great start to a Sunday morning eh ??

OK, turn off the power and pull the machine out
Remove the rear panel and look in there.
I suspect there is water in the base which is causing this fault.
Dry the base out and it should reset.

If you need more help please just ask me.

Hi,

Our washing machine back does not seem to come off. We have got the top off, and taken all of the visible screws out of the side, but the side does not come off either. Do you have any idea of how we should proceed?

Thanks, Jennifer

Hi Jen

Thats very odd!!

Tilt the machine back and get someone to hold it there.
Look underneath, is this a solid base?

This may allow any water to drain out

We got the top and side off and their is no water anywhere inside. Do you have any other ideas of what we might do?

Hi Jen

When its displaying the error, are any of the other lights flashing??

How old is this machine?
Thanks
Rob
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hi,

There aren't any lights flashing. It's almost exactly two years old.

Thanks,

Hi Jen
Thanks

Im sorry, Im out of ideas in that case.

I would check the warranty with this machine.
Most come with a minimum of two years, some have 5 others even have 10 year warranties.

Check the documents that came with the machine as you may well be covered to get this sorted by Miele

Thanks
Rob

Thanks, it has a 10 year warranty, so we'll call them on monday. Thanks for trying anyway. :-)
