KevinWhiteJA :

Hi, welcome to Just answer

KevinWhiteJA :

Please tell me its complete model number

KevinWhiteJA :

and how old is it ?

JACUSTOMER-61034xl9- :

It is just over a year old and is SE2641TC2

KevinWhiteJA :

have you tried it another socket ?

JACUSTOMER-61034xl9- :

it is not the socket as I said the power comes on once it is switched off and on briefly, all the hob lights flash go through the sequence of 1 - 9 and then the fist two hobs flash 2 and 3 respectively before it goes off again. This has happened 3 times

KevinWhiteJA :

and there is no error in the display ... right ?

KevinWhiteJA :

I mean like E1 or E2 etc ?

JACUSTOMER-61034xl9- :

when it came back on it said 2 3 could that be an error code?

KevinWhiteJA :

just 2 3 or was there an E in front of them as well ?

JACUSTOMER-61034xl9- :

NO

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, the problem is with the control itself that is bad and will need replacement

KevinWhiteJA :

you can leave this switched off

KevinWhiteJA :

for few hours

KevinWhiteJA :

if the problem remains then the control will need replacement

KevinWhiteJA :

as it is not too old you can contact Smeg and check with them if they can do this under warranty
