Hi, my name is Mike and I have been in the home improvement and repair field for 20 years. I will be very glad to help you today. Does the fan in the freezer seem to be running?
The sensor inside the fridge gets frozen and cannot control the temperature properly. Switch off the fridge. Unplug it and leave the door open overnight.. At the back of the fridge (behind the unit, not inside) there is a large grid. Clean it with a vacuum thoroughly. Open the fridge. Dry the back of the fridge if wet (inside the fridge). If frosted wait for it to defrost and then dry it. Plug in the fridge. Switch the fridge back on. The dust in the grid deprives the fridge from cooling down and the unit can't control the temperature in the fridge section.
I have a number of these new returns all with the same fault the alarm light is on at switch on and it beeps 3 times
How do you mean returns? You are a retailer then?
I have bought some new faulty baumatic fridge frezers all with this problem
Well the three beeps is the alarm for the door being left open. It will beep once the door has been left open for more than 30 seconds. If it continues after the door is closed then it is a manufacture defect or the door is not completely closed.
how does it sence the door is open
There would be a switch in the door that operates the light too.
if you can send me a error code list I will be happy to pay
I might have that. Let me look on my computer. I was going from memory up til then.
Sorry I don't have that information. You will have to contact Baumatic for it. I doubt they will part with that information though. http://www.baumatic.co.uk/
Most times a fault will be indicated physically on a fridge or freezer such as ice build up or noises. It would also very much depend on the model if there is a PCB and many other factors.
Although I have answered your original question I am willing to answer any further questions you have. If you do not feel that I have answered the original question let me know what further information I can provide. I am happy to help.
