We have a Siemens IQ500 washer dryer. It is only 9 months old and the dryer doesn't work. It spins and drains water but it does not heat up.

Hi the washing machine is currently running so we cant get the ENR number for you. but the model is Siemens IQ500

Hi I know but we cant get the ENR number as the washing machine is currently in use, it is washing clothes

ENR number is on the inside of the door and the machine is running.

no problem...I understand..as it won't heat at all the problem is with the thermostat that is bad and will need replacement

some units have a reset inside the back

Hi the machine is only 9 months old and we hardly used the dryer so I cant imagine it would need to be replaced. Whats the reset?

after the washer stops you can take the back off the unit and try to press that button to reset it

Could you explain please? We had been told the reset was at the top, is it definitely at the back. What am I look for?

prior to that you can unplug it and then take the back off to reset it

when you try to turn the dryer on does it also give any error code ?

there is no error code

it works as normal but it just doesn't heat and therefore doesn't dry.

we have now taken the top off and there is a red switch here
