my LG telivision will not turn by report control i have change batteries also the on/off switch on TV has never worked

about 5years and just the red power light is on when trying to put on it blinks off then goes back to red

I pressed power and It is now gone off not blinking not returning to red even when I press power again

please unplug it

and then plug it back after 3 minutes

OK the problem is with the power supply of the unit...the set has gone into protect mode due to an over current, over voltage or under voltage situation...you will have to

what does he have to do when we checked the power supply board

just tell him to take the back off and check the board where everything plugs in...also check for bulged capacitors and dry/loose solder joints

make sure to leave it unplugged for few hours before you perform any kind of repair
