AEG lavamat turbo - used HG service cleaner on the machine

Customer Question

AEG lavamat turbo - used HG service cleaner on the machine yesterday for the second time this year. Today when I tried to do a wash the water was pouring out from underneath the machine - but not from the hose at the back. I tried to use the drain plug but nothing came out. there is a lot of scale build up on the rubber seal around the drum?

Hiya,
Can you post the model number of the appliance please?

When you tried it, did it start leaking as soon as the water started or did it just keep filling till it overflowed?

Thanks

I put on a hot wash and went out of the room and came back five minutes later and the kitchen floor was flooded. I terminated the wash as the water was still coming out and once it had stopped took out the clothes and set a spin cycle to see what happened.

Hiya,
OK, so you don't know why it's leaked.
You'll need to start it again and see what happens.

Make sure it's empty first.

Thanks

when I put one towel back in on a spin cycle the water still poured out?

Hiya,
So is the machine empty of water or full of water?

At the moment the only information you've provided is water is pouring out.
As it's not taking water in on a spin cycle I have to assume it's full of water in the machine.

Don't put anything in the machine.
Put it to drain or spin only.

Have you checked the drain hose?
Where does it connect to on the house drains?

Thanks

I did put it on empty to drain only but water was still coming out. I have just managed to tip the machine backwards and the small drain hose has disconnected!

Thanks for your help.

Hiya,
OK, is this the draining tube or the pressure tube that goes up to the top of the machine?

Reconnect the tube and try again.

Thanks
