ingis adl349/a/1 dishwasher, 40 degree selector light stays on and the start light flashes 3 times the repeats, the appliance starts then epties the the lights flash, any thoughts

Hiya,
Your machine is reporting a fault in the heating circuit.

This can be the heater, the wiring or the control board.

You would need to test the heater and wiring to narrow the fault down.

You can test it by taking the facia panel off to access the control board.

Disconnect the plug from the board marked HEW and test across the plug for continuity.
If you get continuity, the board is at fault.
If no continuity, take the door off and check the wiring.
If no break in the wiring, the heater has failed.
