Hiya,
Can you post the model number of the appliance please?
It should be on a label inside the fridge.

Check behind the drawers in the fridge, is there any signs of ice there?

Thanks

Hi there

The model number is XXXXX

No there is no ice behind the draws in the fridge

Thanks

Hiya,
OK, unplug the appliance.
Take the drawers in the fridge out.
Take the panel behind the drawers off to reveal the evaporator.

What do you find?
Is the evaporator completely clear of frost?

Thanks

I can't get to 1 of the screws as its iced over so it seems like yes

Hiya,
OK, so it is iced up.

You have a fault in the defrost system in the fridge.

Do you have, and can you use, a multimeter?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No I don't have 1

Can't use 1

Hiya,
OK, you won't be able to determine the exact cause of the fault.
You'll need to get someone in to do that for you.

Either the defrost element has failed or, the thermal fuse has blown.

If it's the element you can normally get away with changing the element and it's sorted.

If it's the thermal fuse, then you need a new thermal fuse, defrost sensor and evaporator cover.

It's a very common fault on Samsung side by sides.

if you go onto Ebay and search for Samsung defrost , it will show the various kits available to repair it.

Check it out, see what you find and get back to me if you need more help.

Hope this helps
Thanks
