Hiya,
How are your diy skills?

Basically the door has to come off the machine and taken apart.
Would you be able to do this?

Thanks
Customer reply replied 3 years ago.

Not sure. I could probably follow the instructions in the manual to get the door off, but taking the door apart and then putting it back together would probably be beyond me.

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

I'm afraid you'll need to get someone in to do it for you in that case.
It can be tricky taking it apart and rebuilding the door.

The screws holding the handle are on the inside of the door.

Sorry
Customer reply replied 3 years ago.

I was afraid you would say that! Still, your advice is appreciated and has saved me the time, trouble and expense of making a complete mess of the oven door.

What would be a typical price to pay for someone to come and fix it for me?

Thank you.

Hiya,
As long as there is no physical problem with the handle, a local repairer should only be charging their call out rate or 1 hour rate.
Depending on where you live, this can be from around £50 to £100

Give a couple of repairers a call and see what they charge.

Let me know how you get on.
Thanks

Thanks for this.

The other option I am considering is bringing forward my plan to renovate the kitchen including replacing the oven completely.

I think I will probably live with the loose handle now until the kitchen is done.

Many thanks for your help.

Hiya,
Good call, hopefully it will last till you get the new kitchen.

Good luck with it and with the replacement.

Hope this helped
Thanks
