Hi

When you turn the hob on do any of the lights come on?

Do you get an error code of E??

Regards

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hi

Ok so the hob is actually working ok is it?

Is it just the beeping when its turned off?

Also was it recently the E9 error code came up?

Regards

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes on E9. Working ok but yesterday the child safety device kept being activated while cooking

Hi

Ok from the sounds of this the display touch control board will be the cause.

As E9 error code is a faulty touch control board and if its beeping on its own and bringing the child lock on during cooking its going to be the touch control board itself at fault here.

Theres 3 boards in there. Two main power boards and then the small touch control board. Its the touch control board you will need to replaced.

To access this its quite easy. Just remove the hob from the worktop it usually just lifts out.

Then remove all the screws around the outside of the frame holding the glass top on then you can lift the top off.

From there you will see the touch board right in front of you. So you can swap it over from there and that should cure the fault for you here.
