My Siemens XL1400 washing machine tries to drain every time

Resolved Question:

My Siemens XL1400 washing machine tries to drain every time I ask it to wash. The programme selected seems to come up as expected (the right remaining time shows) but instead of filling and startying the wash the pump spins for about 5minutes and the remaining tme display goes blank

The pump is working fine (if i fill it by hand the machine empties itself quickly), I've checked the filter and maunally drained it through the filter stop. I've even tried switching it off and on again at the wall.

Is it just a faulty detector saying the machine is still full or is there likely to be a more serious psoblem

Hi kevin

Customer:

Had another look and found a ribbed cable running to a brown plastic component. Blew through hose and smacked the brown plastic a bit. Put it all together. Switched machine back on and IT WORKS.
