How do I clean the water nozzles on my washing machine? They

Resolved Question:

How do I clean the water nozzles on my washing machine? They are clogged with black mould because only cold water goes through them into the soap and fabric softener drawer.
I can't access them with normal brushes.

Welcome, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be helping you with your problem today. If anything isn't clear, please just ask me.

Hi
Just so I am sure about the question, is this the roof of the dispenser box that you are talking about? Where the water comes through the holes in the roof?

Thanks
Rob

Yes.

Hi Marie

Great, thanks, XXXXX XXXXX to be sure I understood

Remove the drawer.
Unfortunatley there is no quick way, but the best way is to wear rubber gloves. ix some bleach and some water.
Use an old toothbrush and scrub the roof.
Slowly it will come off.
You should use some garden wire if any of the holes are actually blocked.

You may need to do this occasionaly as mould can build up here due to the damp conditions

Thanks
Rob

Thank you. Great advice. I have tried the toothbrush but not with bleach. I've also tried inter-dental brushes but the angle is so tricky. It's a bad design for a machine that only fills with cold water, but thanks anyway.
