Resolved Question:

I just bought a New World built in oven. On my first try of it to cook a frozen pizza I notice that I can’t get the oven to heat up at all. Once lit it only stays at the lowest temperature no matter how much I turn the Knob. Any hints?

Many thanks,
Pat K.

Hi

Ok so when you light the oven its starts off as a small flame and after 30 seconds or so it goes bigger to which ever temperature you have set it.

Will the flame go bigger or does it just stay the same ie small flame?

Daniel,

It continues to stay small. No matter what temperature I select on the dial.

Thanks,

Hi

Ok when you get this fault its usually the thermostat at fault here.

Bit strange how this is like this on a brand new oven but it can happen. Ive seen new appliances come out of the factories with faulty parts on it.

Its nothing your doing wrong its a faulty thermostat here. As its brand new you have 2 choices here. Either get New World out to fix it under the warrenty or get the retailer to exchange it as you have up to 28 days when you buy goods to refund or exchange them. They may say you need to go through New World but you don't if its under 28 Days you can just get your money back.

Or if you want to keep it ring New World up and they will send an engineer out and they will replace the thermostat for you.
