Customer Question

I have a AEG induction hob
Model no.68002ke the front left cooking zone the temp control rises and falls on its own. This is without a pan placed on it, this eventually causes the hob to stop working. I have to switch the power off to reset. Any ideas how to fix this please

Hiya,
If you place a pan of water on it when it's doing this, does it boil the water?

Does the control still rise and fall?

Thanks

The temp control stil rises and fall and sometime it works perfectly well

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

This could be a little condensation under the control panel or a fault with the control panel.

To be able to look up the service information I would need the product number from the label on the underside of the hob.

To effect any repair/cleaning of the hob, it would need to come out of the worktop so it can be opened up.

Once out, take the glass top off and clean/dry the underside where the touchpads are.

Reassemble and try again.
If still the same, it will likely need the control panel replaced.

Check it out, see what you find and get back to me.
Thanks
