Hiya,
What is the problem you are having with the appliance?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

My washing machine WAE24369 is stopping and F 17 is coming up. I have cleaned the filter and there are no kinks in hose or tube. What can I do ?

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
Is the machine filling very slowly with water?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I don't think it fills at all

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

Have you checked the water supply to the machine?
Turn the water off.
Disconnect the fill hose at the rear of the machine.
Aim the hose into a bucket.
Turn the water on.
Do you get good pressure and flow?

Turn off again.
Check the filter screen on the inlet valve at the rear of the machine.
Ensure it's not blocked.

Let me know what you find.
Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

seems ok and I cleaned the filter

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
Which filter did you clean?
Can you explain "seems ok".
Is it good flow and pressure into the bucket?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

the little one that you screw out. The water seems to flow normally

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
No, read my post again.
It's the fill hose at the top rear you have to take off and check.

Not the filter at the bottom front.

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

it was the top rear one, that I screwed out. Do I need a plumber?

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, so you had the hose off?
You checked the screen? (it simply pulls out or pushes in, you don't screw it)
You checked the water has good flow and pressure?

If you did, you need to check and see if the inlet valve is being powered.

Unplug the appliance.
take the top off.
Test the valve with a multimeter to see if it's open circuit.

If you can't test the valve, plug in, keep yourself well clear of the electrics.
Start a program and listen carefully to the valve.
Does it hum?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I am not able to do that. Can you just tell me if I need a plumber.I have aritus and find it hard to do things with my hands

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
No, you need a white goods engineer.
Someone that repairs appliances.

You've confirmed water is getting to the machine so the fault has to lie with the inlet valve or the control board of the machine.

Most likely it's an inlet valve and a fairly easy repair.

Good luck with the repair.

Thanks
