Customer Question

I have a Hotpoint Ultima HUE 52 cooker. My home help rather enthusiastically removed the control knobs to clean behind them, and I cannot get them back on again. Is there a special way to do this?

They are simply a push fit.

Look at the D shaped shaft and the inside of the knob.
Line the flat edges together and push them on.

There's normally a sprung piece of metal inserted into the knob, this is the part that goes on the flat edge of the shaft.

Check it out, let me know what you find.

I was just coming to tell you that I have solved the problem myself. Thank you for your trouble.

No problem.
Good luck with the appliance
