Toshiba QosmioX770 3D Windows 7, 18 months old. I have had 3 new batteries since purchased due to failure to hold charge. 3rd battery working/charging fine and no problems with laptop. everything switched off and unplugged from mains for 2 week holiday, but on first starting last week on Mains power, the start cycle was suddenly terminated for no reason. On re-start, Initial sequence gets to various stages prior to password XXXXX and terminates. Sometimes, restart goes to page asking for safe mode or start normally, sometimes to repair page/system restore - tried both but fault still occurs. Fault occurs with or without Mains power. Sometimes, full start is made but laptop switches off at any time, for no apparent reason, without touching or pressing any keys/commands. Health monitor, when laptop is in full working mode, shows everything ok, battery condition good, fan/temperature average readings.All other checks thatI can find to carry out show everything successful. Only thing Ican think of is that there is a temperature cut-out/thermal relay which may be being activated, although temperature/fan is showing ok as stated. Help, please.

This is a defective charger, its not putting enough current into the batteries, so you get the problem you are having. You unfortunately will just need a new charger to fix this, and likely all the batteries you have are in good shape;-)
Please let me know if you need a source for the new charger?
