Hiya,
Can you post the model number of the appliance please?

Have you tried a long length of flexible wire down the drain hole?
The drain tube goes nearly to the bottom of the machine.

Thanks

It's a FAB32R4

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

As previous, have you tried a long length of flexible wire down the drain hole?
The drain tube goes nearly to the bottom of the machine.

Thanks

What will that do - is it blocked? Will it clear a blockage and how do I prevent it happening again. Will it damage the appliance? Thanks.

Hiya,
Yes, the most likely cause is a blockage in the drain tube.
Yes, use the long length of flexible wire to poke down the hole as far as possible.
Then, rotate the wire and "jiggle" it up and down to clear the restriction.
No, it won't damage the appliance.

To prevent it happening again, pour a mild bleach solution down the drain hole every month or so.

This will clear any mould growing in the tube.

Obviously, if labels or food stuff get into the hole, it will block and will need clearing again.

Don't use stiff wire as you are going into a plastic tube.

Try it out, see how it goes and get back to me if you need more help.

Hope this helps
Thanks

Hiya,
No problem, good luck clearing it.
It's a common problem on all wet wall fridges, not just Smeg.

Let me know if you still have a problem

Thanks
