I have a 1998 Baumatic fan oven but cant find the model number.

Resolved Question:

I have a 1998 Baumatic fan oven but can't find the model number. The digital clock seems to have gone haywire and I can't remember how to reset it. It has 5 buttons.

Hiya,
The model number should be on a label in the door recess.

Can you explain what you mean by the clock going haywire?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Can't find the model number anywhere.

The alarm light seems to be on all the time.

Hiya,
OK, didn't know of any Baumatic machine with an Alarm light.
Do you mean it's an A showing?
If so, then it's on auto.

Number the buttons with 1 on the left.
What are the markings for each number?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

1 = something that looks like a bell

2 = something that looks like heat/flames rising out of tray

3 = same as 2 but with a 'x' through it

4 - a minus sign

5 = a plus sign

Hiya,
No, that's helpful.
One way or another I'll get enough information to help you.

Turn the power off to the machine.
Wait 10 minutes, turn the power on and set the clock.

Press and hold 1 and 2 together.
While holding, press and release 5 to set the time.

If this doesn't work, repeat and press and hold 2 and 3 instead.

Let me know what happens.

Hope this helps
Thanks

OK - will try that. Will that then mean it is not on any timer??

Expert:  Techdesk replied 3 years ago.
Hiya,
It means it will be off of Auto cook and on manual cook.
The oven should work when it's off of A or Auto.

Thanks

You're a GENIUS - thank you so much. It was the second option that worked. So where are you that you have EST on your e-mails?? USA??
