I have a WFT2800GB/13 washer dryer. It is tripping the power

Resolved Question:

I have a WFT2800GB/13 washer dryer. It is tripping the power supply and stopping about 90 to 120 seconds after commencing a wash cycle. However, separately it can complete a spin cycle of clothes that have been hand washed. What might be wrong and is there a diagnostic procedure in situ?

Hiya,
If you select a cold wash or rinse, does it complete?

Thanks

We do not have a cold wash other than 30C. If I should try that and it then cuts out, I will loose this connection. In this event what is your telephone number.

Hiya,
You have links in the emails you've been receiving that take you back here.

I can't give you my telephone number, it's an online help.

Use the rinse program, it's definitely cold only.

Thanks

Yes, the rinse program is working. My wife has advanced the process to final rinse and now warm water is coming in! It is still running.

Hiya,
You should only have cold water.

As the rinse is working it points to a failure in the heating circuit.
The most likely cause is the wash heater is faulty, causing the problem.
A new heater will need to be obtained and fitted to cure the problem.

If you are doing the repair yourself, the heater is located at the bottom rear of the tub assembly.

Unplug the appliance, take the rear panel off and you'll have access to it.

Get back to me if you need more help.

Hope this helps
Thanks

Thank you very much for your opinion. As this is a rather old model do you know if a new heater is available and compatible.
