Hiya,
Is there a padlock lit in the display?
Have you tried pressing and holding the start button to cancel ?

Thanks
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

The padlock sign is not lit. I have pressed the start button and held it for 10 seconds, still no change.

Hiya,

OK, if you close and open the door, do it latch shut properly?

or, does it feel odd and not latching shut?

Have you tried unplugging for 10 minutes then plugging in again to see if it reboots the control board?

Thanks

The door shuts properly and the machine does work but only on Programme number 1

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

I'm afraid it's pointing to a fault on the main control board.
As it's only 6 weeks old you can't take it apart to check anything (you'll invalidate your warranty).

Sorry, you're going to have to contact Currys to have them come and repair the appliance.

Apart from unplugging it for 10 minutes then plugging it back in, you appear to have done everything a customer is expected to do.

If it's running the wash (program 1) does pressing and holding the button cancel it?

Thanks

Hi

We have switched off for 10 minutes and it is still the same.

secondly -yes we can cancel the machine when it is working on Programme No 1

So as you say we will have to get on to Currys

Hiya,
I'm afraid so.
You've done all that can be expected of you to resolve the problem, probably more than most people would do.

I think the fault is going to lie with the control board, it's the most likely cause of the problem.

I'd be interested to hear how it goes.

Good luck with the repair.

Hope this helped
Thanks

Hi

The response to our questions was prompt, but did not solve the problem so obviously we are not satisfied.

Sorry you're not satisfied but unless you want to take the machine apart yourself and fit a new control board, the answer I provided is correct.

You asked "6 weeks old bought from Currys in Croydon and it is stuck on programme No.1 what is the solution? "
I have given you the solution which will solve the problem.

No one forces you to pay though. It's always your choice
