Hiya,
Can you post the make and model number of the appliance please?

Once I know this, I'll see if I have anything that will help.

Thanks

Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.

There should be an E-Nr number on your machine.
It will be on a label or very faintly etched across the top of the inner door.

Can you post this please?

Thanks

Hiya,
Thanks for that.

There's 2 things to check to see if it's a blockage.

Check the drain hose where it connects to the house drains.
If it's into a stand pipe, it's ok.
If it's onto a spigot, take the hose off of it and check both the hose and the spigot for a blockage.
You'll normally find this under the sink.

If ok, manually remove the water from inside the dishwasher.
Take the filters out and remove the water in the sump bowl.

Once empty, look into the sump bowl and on the left you'll see a cover held by a single torx screw.
Take the screw out.
Take the cover off.
Remove any debris jamming the pump.
Turn the X shaped impellor manually to ensure it's not blocked.
Refit the cover.
Refit the screw and the filters.

Try the machine again.

If all is well, it should be working again.

Obviously, if you cannot do the work yourself, you'll need to get someone to do it for you.

It's a pretty common problem and seldom requires new parts.
However, if the above doesn't cure the problem, let me know.

Hope this helps
Thanks

No still not clearing
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
Sorry, you need to give me more detail than that.

When you started a new program, did you hear the drain pump run or hum?
Did you find anything jamming the pump?

Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Started a new programme, when it beeped I opened door water still in bottom
Did not seem any thing blocking it
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, When you started a new program, did the drain pump run first?

You'll need to empty it again, take the cover off of the pump.
Start a new program and listen.
Do you hear the pump run?

Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
It made a humming noise and went into the cycle
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
Stop it.
Humming means it's jammed.

Check it again, make sure there's nothing jamming it.

If there's nothing jamming the pump impellor then you need a new pump.

Hope this helps
Thanks

Do I do what I did before
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
Yes, if the pump just hums, it's stuck.
Take the cover off.
make sure it's not stuck.
Leave the cover off.
Start a program and listen.
If you hear it run (it will make a noise) then it's free.
If it hums, your pump is stuck or faulty.

Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
No did not work, water in bottom again
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
You are missing what I'm posting.
It won't empty if the cover is off.

When you started the program, did the pump run?

Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
It makes a noise difficult to say if this is humming or running
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Message added already?
Do not understand.
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, when you turned the pump impellor manually, did it rotate freely?

Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Yes
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
OK, your pump is faulty.
It shouldn't rotate freely.
It should resist and then spring round a little.

You need to obtain and fit a new pump
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Ok your description is exactly what it does,it resists then springs back.
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
OK, so it doesn't rotate freely.

All I need is an accurate description of whether it's running or not.
Is there water in the bottom? If not put a litre of water into the sump.

With the cover off of the pump.
Start a new program and listen.
If the pump runs, you'll hear it splashing the water.
If it doesn't, you'll hear it hum
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
No splashing jus hum
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
OK, so as I posted a few time previously.
If it only hums, you need to obtain and fit a new drain pump.

It's not running.
It is humming so that tells us it's being powered.

With the cover off, there's nothing to stop it running so it has to be faulty.

To fit a new pump it's very tight.
It's done by taking the metal panel below the door off.

The pump should be a twist fit.
Look at the new pump and you'll see how it locks in position.

Thanks

Beyond my expertise .
Who do ring?
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
Any local repairer should be able to sort it out for you.
You would need to pay their labour charge plus the cost of the parts they supply.
If more than the pump turns out to be faulty, then it could become very expensive.

If you prefer a fixed price repair that includes parts and labour, check British Gas and Knowhow (Currys).
They both have fixed price repairs, if they cover your area.

British Gas charge £125, all inclusive and no charge if it can't be fixed.
Knowhow, you need to get a quote from them.

Good luck with the repair.
Hope this helps
Thanks
