Appliance Repair Questions? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
Hi, my name is Mike and I have been in the home improvement and repair field for 20 years. I will be very glad to help you today. Cutting the cord off and replacing it would probably burn the motor out. The power there is 220v and in the U.S. 110v is used. You would need a power adapter such as this https://www.voltage-converter-transformers.com/vt-100-step-updown-voltage-transformer-watts.html
I have had no luck searching for the power adapter. Is it possible that Toro would have a specific adapter which they either send or at least suggest. I can see the return of the product getting nearer. Any ideas would be welcome..Hugh.
Hi Hugh, did you see in my previous post the web site I copied on there? I am not so great on the computer machine so I don't know how to make it so you can just click on it. Do you know how to copy and paste? If you copy the part that starts with https until html and then paste it into your browser window at the top it will take you right to the site that had the power adapter. It is for North Americans when traveling to Europe to use their electronics there. To copy put your cursor over the start of what you are going to copy and then hold down the left click button and move your cursor and turn it all blue. Then right click and choose "copy" then hold your cursor over the browser window where the web site is and then right click and choose "paste"
Original answer please
No Toro does not have a specific adapter but here is the link to one that will work: https://www.voltage-converter-transformers.com/vt-100-step-updown-voltage-transformer-watts.html
Were you trying to rate me positively and it did not work?
