i have beko frost free fridge freezer which has stopped working,

i have beko frost free fridge freezer which has stopped working, it still runs when switched on but does not get cold. in the past I have tried switching off for 24 hours & it used o start working again but nothing this time. it is model CDA543FS

If you feel the compressor at the back at the bottom is it hot to touch?

Ok so the compressor has been running but theres no cooling at all inside the fridge or freezer is this correct?

i just switched it on again now & it sounds as though it turns on & then off again, & yes there is no cooling in the fridge at all

Hi

 

Ok if its coming on and then off and theres no cooling inside the appliance then im afraid you are looking at a system fault here.

 

Either it short of gas or its a poor pumping compressor. But for either of these you need to get a fridge engineer in as they will need to put there gauges on the pipe wprk at the back to see how much gas is in there and what pressure the compressor is running at.

Sorry but this isn't a diy repair.

 

Also you will find its quite an expensive fix as a compressor fitted is about the £200 mark and a regas is about £140.
