Hotpoint Aquarius WF 541
Lights are flashing constantly, have tried to re-set, switch off power etc
Hi, welcome to Just answer
How old is the washer ?
all lights are flashing or which ones are flashing ?
I don't know how old machine is, Im in rented accommodation appliance is owners, has been here for at least 3 years.
All the lights are flashing, no specific pattern just repeated
Don't understand why expert is now offline
Have you tried to clean the drain pump assembly ?
Was the water inside hot or cold ?
Apologies seem to go offline.
No im not sure what that is. Was no water inside wash had been partially completed. Had been away for few days, my son drew attention to problem, wash he had done seemed to have been done, not spun properly but no standing water.
He did say there had been a power cut, though not sure if that had any effect. Tried to shut off power and switch on/off but lights just continued to flash when machine on.
can you please unplug the washer
and then plug it back after 4 minutes
simultaneously press and hold the START button for around 10 seconds
let me know how it goes
ok thanks, ***** ***** pull plug out earlier but will try your suggestion.
sure please let me know how it goes
Tried it unfortunately has no effect flashing continues once switched on.
Any further suggestions?
What next the suggestion you made hasn't worked??
Could you acknowledge your still dealing with this question. We seem no further forward
This doesn't seem to be working, only suggestion offered doesn't resolve problem.
Hi,sorry was not here so was unable to respond
if you have already tried to clean it completely
can you test the heating element for continuity
if that tests fine then it is the control that is bad and will need replacement

I had to pop out too. To be honest I don't know what the heating element is, what exactly is it I would test? I have absolutely no understanding of how a washing machine works, parts etc so can only do basic things, assumed perhaps needed resetting somehow though no idea how to do that
we have already tried resetting but it wont work that ways
heating element is located inside the back of the unit
