sorry for the delay in getting back to you, i'm pretty busy.. do you think, if it's not just one, but 3 of the burners which are sparking constantly that we need a replacement module? there's a 20 second delay before the sparking noise starts - not sure if that helps to detect the problem.
if a new sparking module is required, is it expensive, and is it easy to self install or would we need a technician to do it? - we're pretty handy.
surely water won't be the problem as this has been going on for months. the oven is a few years old and wired in properly so i don't think it's that either.turning the switch off at the wall is a good tip.. except that the clock and timer are used a lot and would need to be reset every time - i know most cookers i've known won't let you use the timer if the clock is unset, so doing this every week is not ideal.
