Ultima WMD960. Machine functions perfectly but we need to unplug/reconnect

Customer Question

Ultima WMD960. Machine functions perfectly but we need to unplug/reconnect mains plug before starting a new wash if machine has been off for a while. To load and start a second wash within a few minutes is no problem. How can I fix this?

Hi Don,
unfortunately this is a sign of a failing main control board.
Its easy enough to replace but its a bit pricey.
I will help you make the replacement.
The best place to get that board is Hotpoint spares.
http://www.hotpoint-spares.co.uk/
I will stick with you until this is fixed and working as it should.
PLEASE RATE KINDLY AT THIS TIME, your question will NOT close or TIME OUT ;-)
No additional cost to you to rate.
Thank you Don and have a great day!

Thank you, Michael. I'm no expert but a fairly 'handy' 76 yr old given a screwdriver and everyday tools! I'll take a look at the hotpoint spares site very soon and get back to you. Thanks for sticking around. Don
