model MTRF - 140/1
Just come back from being away for a couple of days. The freezing compartment is melted.
The light comes on, fridge makes sound - but it is not freezing or keeping things cold.

I dont think i hear a fan running. what i hear is a sort of a gurking kind of sound. The water in the freezng compartment is not freezing it is staying liquid.

Hi Dave, thank you for that information.
This should for sure like you need a new fan.
That fan cools both the fridge and the freezer.
You will need to order the part its easy to replace but you need to remove the rear wall of the freezer. I will help you so no worries there.
Also you need to defrost the whole unit both doors open for 24 hours.
