How do I change a bulb on a Fridgemaster MC50160

Resolved Question:

How do I change a bulb on a Fridgemaster MC50160

Hiya,
You need to unplug the machine first.
Then, take the screws holding the light cover in place out.
Press the tab and slide the cover to remove it.
Take the old bulb out and fit the new.
Refitting is the replacement of the removal.
Copy and paste the following into a new browser window if you need a user manual.
It does have the instructions on changing the bulb in there too.

Hope this helps

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

There is no screws or screw holes. Just a smooth light cover.

Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, have you looked for any screw cap covers, small circular discs?
If there's no screws the cover can only be clipped on, but, the drawings and the instructions both show screws.
Can you post a photograph of the light cover/unit?
Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

There is no screw cap covers, but I can see, what I think to be, two screws under the plastic cover.

I might have to bore through the plastic cover to get to the screws.

Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
No, don't do that.
That will be the screws that hold the whole housing to the roof.
If there's definitely no screws the light cover is clipped on.
If I could see a picture of it, I may recognise the fitting.
Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I have replied by email and included two photos.

Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.
Once customer services pass the photographs to me I'll have a look and see what I can do to help.
Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

There is two black dots showing, but the plastic cover is all in one.

Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, thanks for that.
Unfortunately I'm still waiting for the photographs to be passed to me.
Thanks
Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
OK, the photographs have arrived. I'm afraid they aren't too clear.
Either side of the control knob are 2 dark areas.
This is where the blanking plugs for the screws would normally be.
Can you check that these areas are not blanking plugs?
Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No,there's no blanking plugs. The plastic cover covers everything.

I'm thinking it must be a faulty cover.

I'm very happy to leave this problem for now and not waste any more of your time.

You have provided excellent advice and thank very much.

Expert:  Techdesk replied 2 years ago.
Hiya,
I think it's been changed to a clip on cover.
Have you tried levering it off (carefully).
Thanks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No, but I will try it later.

Thanks again.

Hiya,
You're very welcome.
Good luck with it.
Thanks
